Dear Friends in Christ,
I write to share with you an upcoming transition on our staff. Janet McCord, who has served faithfully and with distinction as our full-time Parish Administrator for the last four years, will be moving into a part-time role after Thanksgiving. Many of her responsibilities will remain the same, but she will begin working only three days a week, Tuesdays-Thursdays. We are also excited to welcome Kitty Smith back to our staff, as she will help with some administrative functions and extend gracious hospitality at the front desk on Mondays and Fridays.
I also write to wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. If you are traveling, please know that you go with our love and prayers. Wherever you are, I pray that you will find yourselves gathered at tables of abundance and delight, with joy and laughter in the company of those who are nearest and dearest to you, and that your hearts will be moved to a deep recognition and loving acknowledgment of the many blessings of your lives.
A Litany of Thanksgiving, from the Book of Common Prayer: “Let us give thanks to God our Father for all his gifts so freely bestowed upon us. For the beauty and wonder of your creation, in earth and sky and sea; for all that is gracious in the lives of men and women, revealing the image of Christ; for our daily food and drink, our homes and families, and our friends; for minds to think, and hearts to love, and hands to serve; for health and strength to work, and leisure to rest and play; for the brave and courageous, who are patient in suffering and faithful in adversity; for all valiant seekers after truth, liberty, and justice; for the communion of saints, in all times and places; above all, we give you thanks for the great mercies and promises given to us in Christ Jesus our Lord; to him be praise and glory, with you, O Father, and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.”
Yours in Faith and Gratitude,
Jody+

We are reaching out to our Leap Frog friends with some fun news!
During our holiday party this semester, we will gift the students with green Leap Frog hoodies!! 🙂
To help raise funds for the students’ hoodies, we are selling Leap Frog t-shirts. The t-shirts will be Kelly Green Bella Canvas short sleeve t-shirts. You can choose from crew or v-neck.
The t-shirts are $25. When you purchase a t-shirt, you also purchase a hoodie for a student. Win, win! 🙂
If you would like to purchase a t-shirt, and a hoodie for a student, you can do so anytime this week or the last week of Leap Frog. We take cash, check or card.
A sample of the design is on the order website.
